About me
I'm Maya! I was born in Ogden, Utah, but I've called Kansas home since 2006. I'm an introvert with two kids, Olive and Fox. I love: reading, interior design, outer space, sustainability, a good pair of jeans and Disney World.
I truly don't remember a time I didn't have a camera in my hand - growing up before smart phones, it was usually a disposable film camera from the grocery store, or even Polaroids. Digital is a lot more efficient, but I'm a big believer in the magic of film and I strive to provide a film-inspired look to the images I create. I love the glow of golden hour, and wind-blown hair and making friends out of clients
I'm inspired by the pictures of my family from decades past, and of the feeling I get looking back at these frozen moments of time, passed down generation after generation. Now is our time to document the little moments and big events, and I am honored to be the one behind the camera for yours.

I know. Talking about money is awkward. I get it. But photography is one of the most valuable things you can ever invest in.
It's what we show off in our homes, what we pass down to future generations, and what we have left when memories fade. No matter the occasion, you shouldn't be looking for someone cheap, you should be looking for someone who will pour their everything into creating the best possible experience and the most beautiful images just for you.
If you're looking for someone who will spend 20 minutes with you, give you a bunch of digital images you'll never do anything with (and forget about a month later), I'm not the photographer for you.
If you're looking for someone who sees photography as an art to be treasured, who will help you plan every last detail of your session, and guide you through carefully selecting the perfect prints and products, I'm your girl.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at booking for all sessions. Your deposit holds your chosen date and is applied toward your overall balance. The remainder of your session fee is due anytime before your session date.

Boudoir sessions
Maybe you've always wanted to do a boudoir session, but you've been putting it off, saying you'll do it when you lose weight or after the baby comes, when you find The One or when you do this or do that. Girl, no. You're perfect. Exactly as you are, right now. Cellulite, curves, baby bump, lopsided boobs, split ends. Every single bit of you is camera ready. And boudoir sessions can make great gifts, but this is for Y-O-U.
Maybe you're nervous because you don't feel confident and you don't know how to pose. I promise, I'll give you all the direction you need. From your butt to your hair, I'll get all the right angles, hitting just the right light so your session makes you feel gorgeous, empowered and good as hell. Yeah, I'm quoting Lizzo. Sorry not sorry.
